Strawberry Fluff
Why This Recipe:
Here is a fun recipe, from preschool teacher Chavie S., that you and your students can make during Tammuz and throughout the summer.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups strawberries
- 3/4 cup confectioners powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
- 3 egg whites
- 1 pinch of salt
Materials:
- 1 potato masher
- 1 electric mixer
- cups
Directions:
- Have children wash and hull strawberries.
- Have students crush the berries with a potato masher.
- Combine all ingredients in the bowl of a mixer.
- Beat at highest setting for 10 minutes or until mixture is thick and fluffy.
- Pour into cups and put in freezer.
- When chilled, eat and enjoy!
