This Month's Songs:
Introduction: V'Nomar l'fanav is part of the Haggadah. It is appropriate to sing a "new" song for the "new" spring season. Brainstorm with the children what new things happen in the spring. Note: Please wait for this page to download completely before listening to the song. If you are not able to hear the song, please email Andy Zhang at andy@jcca.org. Lyrics: V'nomar l'fanav shira chadasha (2x) And let us sing before Him a new song. Halleluyah, halleluyah. (4x)Praise to G-d Hand Motions: Since each of the first two lines has 8 beats, the song lends itself to hand movements. Try alternating motions after every two beats. Each time you say a new word, begin a new motion. (Have students select the motions.) For example, "V’nomar" - slap kness for 2 beats "l’fanav" - clap hands for 2 beats "shira" - twirl arms for 2 beats "chadasha" - clap hands above head for 2 beats.
