Fruit Smoothie
Why This Recipe:
Here is an easy milk-base drink that the children will love.
Ingredients:
- Seasonal fruit- watermelon, mango, strawberries, bananas, etc. that can be cut into chunks.
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 Tablespoon sugar or honey
Directions:
- Cut fruit into chunks.
- Freeze fruit (for approx. 3 hours or until fruit is very firm).
- Using blender, mix milk, 1 cup fruit mixture, vanilla extract and sugar/honey until thick.
- Drink and enjoy. (A straw is recommended!)
