Passover Almond Brittle

Why This Recipe:

Here's a simple, easy-to-prepare recipe that your students will enjoy eating for Passover.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of almonds

Directions:
  1. Cook the sugar in a heavy saucepan at medium heat until the sugar is syrupy.

  2. Turn off the flame and quickly stir in almonds. Mix well so that all of the almonds are coated. (It is important to stir fast, so that all of the almonds are coated before the syrup hardens.)

  3. Pour onto well-greased cookie sheet.

  4. Let cool for approximately 10-15 minutes at room temperature.

  5. Break into chunks. Eat and enjoy!
