This Month's Songs:

Utzu Eitza

Introduction:

This traditional Purim song warns Haman (and any other evil-doers lurking about) that their plans against us will not come to fruition, because G-d, our protector, is on our side. This song encourages children to use their acting skills, by including evil laughter and taunting expressions. Have the children think of other actions, such as punitive finger wagging, that they could include in the song.

Lyrics:

Utzu eitza v'tufar (Heh, heh, heh!)
Dabru davar v'lo yakum. (Nyah, nyah, nyah.)
Utzu eitza v'tufar,
Dabru davar v'lo yakum.
Ki emanu El.
Utzu eitza v'tufar,
Dabru davar v'lo yakum.
Ki emanu El.
Plan your evil plans... (Evil laughter)
It isn't gonna work... (so there!)
Plan your evil plans,
It isn't gonna work.
Because G-d is with us!
Plan your evil plans,
It isn't gonna work.
Because G-d is with us!

Repeat
