Passover Brownies


Why This Recipe:

These tasty brownies, which are made with Passover cake meal and potato starch are fun to make and eat for Passover.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of oil
  • 1 cup of Passover cake meal
  • 1 tablespoon potato starch
  • 5 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/3 cup apple juice
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
  • powdered sugar (to sprinkle on top)

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
     
  2. Beat the sugar and eggs well.
     
  3. Add oil.
     
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the cake meal, potato starch, cocoa, apple juice and walnuts.
     
  5. Stir these ingredients into the egg mixture and mix well.
     
  6. Spread the mixture onto a greased 9x13" pan.
     
  7. Bake at 350° for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a brownie comes up clean.
     
  8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool.
     
  9. Eat and enjoy!
