Israel Flag Cake


Why This Recipe:

Here is an easy and tasty recipe from JCC preschool teacher Debbie M. in Massachusetts for Israel Independence Day.

Ingredients:
  • Pound Cake
  • Whipped Topping
  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Blueberries
  • Rectangular pan

Directions:
  1. Take ice cream from freezer to soften it.
     
  2. Once soft, spread a layer of ice cream on bottom of pan.
     
  3. Slice Pound Cake into squares.
     
  4. Cover layer of ice cream with cake.
     
  5. Cover cake with whipped topping.
     
  6. Repeat steps 2,4 and 5.
     
  7. Use the blueberries to create the Israeli flag on top of the second whipped topping layer.
     
  8. Freeze until ready to eat

Note: This recipe can also be made without ice cream.
