Why This Recipe:
Here is an easy and tasty recipe from JCC preschool teacher Debbie M. in Massachusetts for Israel Independence Day.
Ingredients:
- Pound Cake
- Whipped Topping
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Blueberries
- Rectangular pan
Directions:
- Take ice cream from freezer to soften it.
- Once soft, spread a layer of ice cream on bottom of pan.
- Slice Pound Cake into squares.
- Cover layer of ice cream with cake.
- Cover cake with whipped topping.
- Repeat steps 2,4 and 5.
- Use the blueberries to create the Israeli flag on top of the second whipped topping layer.
- Freeze until ready to eat
Note: This recipe can also be made without ice cream.
